Nibebe star jets in today for Chinsapo Choir album launch

Tanzanian gospel singer, songwriter and choreographer Rose Muhando is expected to arrive in the country today to spice up the launch of Chinsapo Sweet Melodies Choir’s Abisa Moyo Wako album at Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe on Sunday.
The Lilongwe-based choir has since said it is excited to launch the album and also share the stage with other acts including Muhando respected as queen of gospel music.
Fans have a chance to see Muhando ahead of the launch as she will be driven through the capital city in a carnival tour.
Event Manager for the event Levison Msakambewa said Thursday that they were ready for the launch and that they were leaving no stone unturned.
“Everything is set; we are just waiting for the day. The women have undergone massive rehearsals having engaged professional choreographers and other musical specialists,” Msakambewa said.
The event manager, who is experienced in event management and has worked with several artists in the country, said people were in for a treat during the launch.
Asked why they opted for Muhando, Msakambewa said Chinsapo Sweet Melodies connected with Muhando following their visit to Tanzania recently before a deal was sealed.
“This is an issue of one good turn deserves the other. Muhando invited the women in Tanzania, and she as well pledged to give back by supporting the women during the launch of their album,” Msakambewa said.
The choir takes to the stage this Sunday having recently been supported with a K22million sponsorship by Choice Construction Company.
Other artists billed to perform at the launch include Skeffa Chimoto, Great Angels Choir, Marvelous Deeds, Gloria Manong’a and Maxwell Olloto.
Meanwhile, Chinsapo Sweet Melodies have crafted a new track titled ‘Mpumulo’ which has seen them featuring Skeffa.
