Urban afro musician Nic Thindwa has joined Covid battle by releasing a song titled ‘Vala Mask’ aimed at encouraging people to follow preventive measures.
The pandemic, which has claimed lots of lives globally, has seen several musicians stitching songs calling upon people to follow the preventive measures.
The United Kingdom-based artist has collaborated with Pon G in the song.
Thindwa said the song is encouraging mask wearing as a Covid preventive measure.
“I would like mainly to encourage people to take precautions by wearing masks because coronavirus is real but together we can fight this deadly pandemic by following simple measures that are put in place,” he said.
The ‘Vala mask’ audio was produced by Blantyre-based producer Pon G and Karonga-based Martin Thin Dinius while the video was directed by Davie Sazuze and the Chronicles.
“The song is already out and available for downloads on Mikozi and Malawimusic.com while the video is also on YouTube,” he said.
“Mostly, I was just putting my music on YouTube but now I promise to make my music available on radios and TVs at home in Malawi,” he said.
The track is enjoying airplay in some of the local radio stations.
The new song comes barely four months after the artist released ‘Mkango wa Yuda’.
Thindwa has worked with several artists and they include Janta, Dan Lu, Blasto, Pon G and Nepman
