Nico Life Insurance—a subsidiary of the conglomerate Nico Holdings Limited—has said the company stands to benefit a lot from innovative skills of Osman Karim, who has left the entity.
He is now destined for Nico Holdings Head office situated in Chibisa House, Blantyre.
The company’s Chief Executive Officer, Eric Chapola said this at a cocktail on Wednesday, which was held to bid farewell to Karim in Malawi’s commercial capital Blantyre.
He said since rejoining Nico Life Insurance in 2011, Karim raised the status of agents from 200 to over 1,000 and brought motivated juniors in various circles.
“Karim worked hard and was a team player. His services will be missed by the company and the entire staff who worked under his supervision. The company has also registered tremendous growth in the sector due to his skills,” Chapola said.
In his speech, Karim, who was upbeat about operations of Nico Life Insurance, urged the staff to think outside the box so as to attract more clients.
“There is need for creative minds so that more clients are brought into the system. The insurance industry has grown and needs to be nurtured,” Karim said.
