Speaking after presenting the material, Middleton said the company responded to a request for help from the hospital.

He said the company expects to make a difference in the children’s lives through the support.

“Children are the future not only in Malawi but the whole world. We [therefore] wanted to ensure that that the children grow up strongly because they are tomorrow’s leaders, and they are our customers for the future,” he said.

QECH doctor in the paediatric ward Dr Watipaso Kalizang’oma thanked Nissan Malawi for the support which she rated as timely.

She said the donation will make a difference in covering the gap the facility has been facing.

“The donation of the nutrition supplement is necessary to our ward because we take care of children with cancer and most of them are malnourished and the nutrition supplements play a very huge role in the treatment that we give them,” Kalizang’oma said.
