Madalitso Band, the duo of Yobu Maligwa and Yosefe Kalekeni said last Thursday during their performance at Sounds of Malawi Acoustic Session at Jacaranda Cultural Centre that they were looking forward to sharing the stage with other artists at the festival.

“Performing at Nkhotakota Music Festival is part of the national tour we are holding and so, it will give us a chance to reach out to a different audience and at the same time also share the stage with other artists,” Maligwa, said.

The group is set to perform in United States of America and Europe later this year.

Faith, who last weekend also shared the stage with Skeffa Chimoto, Great Angels Choir and Ben Mankhamba, said he was looking forward to the showdown.

“I am ready and it is another opportunity for me to present my music,” the singer and guitarist said.

Festival Manager Hannah Kvamsdal Thursday called on people to be part of the festival which will be celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.

“In celebrating the 25th anniversary, the festival is being held for two days and so, people will have entertainment and fun for two days,” she said.

The festival has over the years featured performances from artists such as Erik Paliani and Code Sangala.
