Nkhotakota Festival back

Nkhotakota Festival, which has established itself as one of the annual gatherings in the country, will this year be held on April 18.

Some of the acts set to light up this year’s festival include Faith Mussa, who has represented the country at a number of local and international festivals.

An all-female band — Krazy Colours—is also expected to perform at the festival.

Krazy Colours has made strides performing in different festivals and last year they also performed at Tumaini Festival among others.

Kanada is also another act expected to perform at the festival which in the past years has managed to hosts artists such as Peter Mawanga, Code Sangala, The Daughters Band and Erik Paliani.

The festival has become very key in Nkhotakota and people in the district always look forward to it.

Apart from music performances, the festival is also expect to host traditional dances such as Gule Wamkulu.

One of the top female DJs in the country, Rejoice Msindo, better known as RJ the DJ is also expected to star at the festival.

The festival is spearheaded by Nkhotakota Youth Organisation.

Organisers have indicated that apart from giving people the music needed entertainment, the festival promotes the district to the world and also attract tourists in the country.

In the absence of Lake of Stars Festival which is not taking place this year, Nkhotakota Festival will give people the festival experience this year apart from Sand Music, Tumaini and Blantyre Arts.
