Super League of Malawi (Sulom) has revised this weekend’s fixtures after Nyasa Big Bullets and Be Forward Wanderers contributed more players to the Malawi national football team.

The Flames left Wednesday for Morocco ahead of Saturday’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

Bullets have contributed to the Flames John Lanjesi, Yamikani Fodya, Chiukepo Msowoya and Patrick Phiri whereas Wanderers are represented in the squad by Chembezi Dennis, Stanley Sanudi, Precious Sambani, Rafick Namwera and Alfred Junior Manyozo Junior.

Initially, Bullets, who top the log table with 46 points from 20 matches, were supposed to play Mafco on Saturday at Kamuzu Stadium while the second-placed Wanderers should have travelled to meet Karonga United, also on Saturday.

In a statement, Sulom General Secretary, Williams Banda, says Karonga will now host Mafco on Saturday.

“The fixtures have been revised due to the national team engagements as Bullets and Wanderers have contributed more players but, for sure, they will back in action when the Flames return from Morocco next week,” Banda said.

The Flames will return home on Wednesday, a day after playing a friendly against Kenya in Nairobi.
