“Those who have already purchased tickets through various ticket selling points in Lilongwe, Blantyre and Mzuzu will receive a full refund,” read the statement.

The statement does not have enough information to explain what really happened for the show to be cancelled at the eleventh hour.

When contacted later to shed more light on the cancellation of the Dru Hill concert, Kanjadza said she had no comment.

On whether the show would be rescheduled, Kanjadza also insisted that she had no comment as they had issued a press statement.

Dru Hill which is a group popular in the 1990s was expected to share the stage with local artist Skeffa Chimoto.

Some quarters have however, called on Umodzi Park to explain in detail what led to the cancellation of the show.
