Nomads set to appoint CEO, accountant

Mighty Mukuru Wanderers are finalising the recruitment of a chief executive officer and accountant as part of the team’s efforts to fully turn commercial.
Times Sport has gathered that Wanderers conducted interviews at Mount Soche Hotel in Blantyre in February.
The team’s board secretary Chancy Gondwe said it is only a matter of finalising the appointment letters for the two.
“We did the interviews and identified the right people for the job. We just have to write them officially before we give you the names but we interviewed a number of people for the positions.
“Our aim is to fully commercialise and make sure that we have a full secretariat running affairs of the team,” he said.
Meanwhile, football analyst Isaac Kamanga has hailed Wanderers for taking a step through the recruitment of a CEO.
“Wanderers is a big brand. They have an ambition to return to Caf Champions League; as such, we expected them to have set up a fully-fledged secretariat headed by a chief executive officer,” he said.
Last season, Wanderers won the Airtel Top 8 Cup after beating rivals FCB Nyasa Bullets 2-1 in the final.
On Sunday, Wanderers lost to Bullets by a similar scoreline in a Charity Shield match at Bingu National Stadium.
