Be Forward Wanderers’ Coach Yasin Osman and his assistant Bob Mpinganjira will know their fate after the team’s Executive Committee’s meeting scheduled for next week.

The team’s vice- Chairperson, Gif t Mkandawire, on Sunday said the committee failed to meet last week to review the club’s performance in the 2016 season.

It is from this meeting when a decision will be made whether or not to retain the coaching panel.

Wanderers hired the two coaches midway in the 2016 season following the sacking of Eddingtone Ng’onamo and Elia Kananji due to the team’s poor performance in the TNM Super League.

Mkandawire said, among the issues on agenda, is the proposal for the coaches to take the team through 2017.

“We have been quiet on the matter because we want to follow the right procedure for hiring coaches. I am, however, optimistic that the two will retain their posts,” Mkandawire said.

“It is evident, through the team’s performance in the last quarter, that their expertise helped Wanderers do better. We are sure that if we had engaged the coaches earlier, Wanderers could have grabbed the Super League championship.”

He added that another issue on agenda is the composition of the squad.

Mkandawire was, however, non-committal to name the players on the chopping-list.

In the 2016/2017 season, Wanderers bagged the Carlsberg Cup, Fisd Challenge Cup and Luso Bus Ipite Bonanza, but finished on sixth position in the league with 49 points.
