NRVL Chairperson, Kafumu Nkhoma, said the games would also help their teams in finalising preparations for this year’s Zone VI Senior Volleyball Club Championships which Malawi will host at African Bible College in Lilongwe from December 13.

“This is a perfect opportunity for us to help our teams fine tune for the Zone VI games. We want them to be good representatives of our league. Our sponsor has also made a commitment to help the teams which will make the grade,” Nkhoma said.

Moyale senior player, Aubrey Mpeyama, said they were eager to impress at the regional tournament after lifting the Raiply National Volleyball Trophy last month.

“We know that there is an international competition ahead of us and we have been preparing. The regional tournament will be like a dress rehearsal for us,” Mpeyama said.
