Four entities have shown interest in purchasing TNM Super League outfit Ntopwa FC.

The club’s owner, Isaac ‘Jomo’ Osman, said the entities are Sable Farming Company Limited, Masters Security Group, Hangover United and a consortium of Lilongwe-based businessmen.

The development comes barely a week after Osman disclosed that he would close shop because of financial challenges.

Osman said he will hold a meeting with his players and coaches this weekend on the matter.

“I have not yet agreed with anyone to take over the club. Negotiations have just begun and I am yet to decide which way to go based on the offers. I am also receiving various suggestions from various individuals on what to do with the club. Some of these individuals are from Bangwe Township where the club is based. So there are several factors that will influence my final decision,” Osman said.

However, Sable Farming Finance Manager Dyles Kachala said it was too early to comment on the matter.

“I will talk to you later. It is too early to talk about this now. I will come up with something to say once everything is sorted out,” Kachala said.

Sable have a team competing in the Southern Region Football League (SRFL) Premier Division.

The team missed Super League promotion last year after finishing third with 83 points from 37 matches.

Masters General Secretary Christopher Njeula asked for more time.

The Lilongwe-based side was relegated from the top flight league last year and was put on sale.

However, the move f lopped and Njeu la announced that they would continue as a club.

Ntopwa made their Super League debut last season after finishing second in the SRFL, following champions Nyasa Big Bullets Reserve’s decision to give up their slot.
