Ntopwa FC will not donate points

Ntopwa FC Technical Director Isaac ‘Jomo’ Osman has said his charges will not give away points when fulfilling TNM Super League fixtures despite their relegation.
“We have a good, youthful squad. It is unfortunate that we did not get good results in most games despite working hard. We will work hard in the remaining two games and we will not donate points. Teams have to work hard to earn a point,” Osman said.
The team owner blamed the suspension of the league due to the Covid pandemic and protocols as they contributed to the team’s poor form.
“As you recall during the first round, we were leading and playing fantastic football. However, the suspension of the league cost us our good form. When the season resumed, we failed to replicate our form,” he said.
Regarding his team’s relegation, Osman said he was keeping fingers crossed as the issue surrounding relegated teams will be tabled during Super League of Malawi annual general meeting.
Ntopwa are on position 15 in the 16-member league with 21 points from 28 games.
