Nyasa Bullets supporters fight against gate fraud

Nyasa Big Bullets supporters say they have gone into business venture with the team’s sponsor Nyasa Manufacturing Company to empower the supporters to get rid of gate fraud.

Bullets supporters’ executive has bought Nyasa Cigarettes at K1.6 million and distributed them to supporters from different zonal committees within Blantyre.

The zonal committees are expected to pay back money to supporters executive and in-turn the committee will empower zonal committees in other districts.

Bullets supporters chairman Stone Mwamadi said empowering the zonal committees was crucial to fight gate fraud.

“We want them to use money they will realise from cigarette sales for their welfare.

They should stop going into the stadium using bogus means.

We believe by empowering them they will not be involved in dirty movements,” he said.

Mwamadi called on the supporters to strive to repay what he termed loans so that other Bullets supporters from other districts should utilise the facility.

“We got this money from the main executive and it is meant for the supporters welfare. Therefore, it is important for every supporter to benefit from this facility,” he said.

However, Mwamadi cautioned the supporters to desist selling cigarettes to under-aged.

“We should not be sending children to buy cigarettes neither should we sell them. We are supposed to sell cigarettes to those that are 18 years and above,” he said.

Nyasa Manufacturing Company brands manager Chimwemwe Chikwana hailed the supporters for the initiative.

“We were surprised when the supporters committee bought the items. The move will help unite both parties,” he said.
