Organisers of the inaugural Nyasa Music Festival, which starts today and ends on Sunday at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre, have said they expect nothing but positives from the showcase.
“We are ready 100 percent and everything is in place. Let people support this initiative,” Nyasa Music Festival Director, James Makunje, said.Advertisement
The development comes after Castel Malawi has pumped K4 million in the initiative.
“We would like to thank Castel Malawi for the support. They are our official beverage sponsor,” Makunje said.
Castel Malawi Senior Brands Manager (Alcoholic), Widdey Nsona, said they have come in because they want their consumers to be entertained during Easter period.
“Carlsberg is about fun and music; so, we felt this festival provides a good opportunity to emulate what the Carlsberg brand is about, hence pumping in K4 million,” Nsona said.
Ahead of the event, organisers held activations featuring South Africa’s Zanda Zakuza.
