Old Mutual has said it has had a significant impact on various sectors of the economy this year through its Corporate Social Investments (CSI) projects.

Old Mutual Group Chief Executive Officer, Edith Jiya, said the firm had helped many Malawians inculcate savings and investment culture through various programmes it is implementing.
“Since Old Mutual Malawi launched Season 2 of the Old Mutual Three Anchors programme two weeks ago, there have been testimonies about people getting to know more about savings, investment, insurance and personal money management.
“Although those are most of the basic foundation of Old Mutual, the brand believes in giving back to the communities it serves,” Jiya said.
She said firm had also made numerous donations as a Coronavirus response.
She said the group touched on financial education, skills development, education, students’ accommodation project and donations.
“Recently we donated, K29.1million of medical equipment towards Covid-19 private sector response and provision of a free life cover to health care workers worth over K25 billion,” Jiya said.
