On loan players keep Premier Bet Wizards guessing

Premier Bet Wizards are in dilemma—they want to beef their squad but they can only do so if they know the status of players who are with them on loan.

The team’s Vice General Secretary, Harold Dzuwa, said the uncertainty surrounding the future of on-loan players in the team was making it difficult for the club to sign other footballers.

“We have assembled a good squad which has performed well in the first round and we hope to build on this in the second round.

“Some players were loaned to us because they had no game-time at their parent clubs. Now their performance has improved with us. It is obvious that their teams will need them back, but we do not know when and who will be needed,” Dzuwa said.

Wizards acquired on loan from Nyasa Big Bullets defender Ian Chinyama, striker Niyikiza Aimable, midfielders Jeresi Lufeyo and Anzeru Joseph.

This week, Bullets interim General Secretary, Albert Chigoga, hinted that they might recall some players from loan.
