The wait is finally over for music lovers as the long-awaited Homecoming concert for musician Onesimus is here.
The concert will take place on Sunday at Lilongwe Golf Club.
Onesimus, who has stayed in South Africa for some time, is finally home and holds the concert having trended with singles such as ‘Panado’, ‘Solomon’, ‘Maria’ and ‘Nobody’.
The singer, who is the ambassador of Amaryllis Hotel, has since invited people from all over the world to grace the show and experience the best of the Warm Heart of Africa.
“Come and enjoy the Warm Heart of Africa with beautiful melodies from your favourite musician,” he said.
His manager Tonderai Banda said Nigerian artist Tekno would not be available.
“Onesimus would like to let the general public know that his Nigerian comrade and brother-in-arms Tekno will not be part of ‘Onesmus Homecoming Party’ as earlier announced. He will not be available due to reasons beyond his control,” Banda said in a statement.
He, however, said everything was in place.
“Onesimus has not performed in Malawi for some time; so, this is the time to experience his explosive live acts and also welcome him home,” Banda said.
He said that Vusi Nova and Ishmael from South Africa would be part of the concert and were set to jet into the country today.
“We will make sure that we follow all Covid measures. We are having the show outdoor but we are cautious,” Banda said.
