South Africa-based gospel musician Onesimus real name Armstrong Kalua has said that his latest album titled Epikaizo Volume 2 is finally out.
Onesimus said on Wednesday that Epikaizo Volume 2 is a continuation of a journey that his father Prophet Shepherd Bushiri started and that he released an album titled Epikaizo volume 1.
The album which he said has songs done in Afro R&B genre features among others the song titled ‘Miracle Money,’ which has attracted interest from many Malawians.
‘Miracle Money,’ is a song which Onesimus has featured Prophet Shepherd Bushiri.
He further said that the 14-track album is out and sold 10,000 copies at FNB Stadium recently.
While the song has attracted mixed reaction from people, the musician who used to play secular before he turned born again, said ‘Miracle Money,’ is a gift from God.
“It’s a demonstration of power from God to show his children that He can provide for them the same way He did when He provided manna in those days,” said the youthful musician once popular with hits such as ‘Sinditha Kumvetsa.’
Onesimus said the album has been recorded in South Africa.
“I have taken time working on this album and I just want to thank every single person that supported my movement and may God bless them. It has taken me two years to produce the album,” said the musician.
He said despite other people criticising his song ‘Miracle Money,’ he was happy that 90 percent of people’s comments said it was worth it.
Onesimus said the album will be available on ITunes and he revealed that currently the song ‘Miracle Money,’ has sold 65,000 copies on ITunes.
“This is a big step for me and I hope to do more. The main aim is to take the message of God to the world,” he said.
He said he was targeting putting his music in some of the major selling outlets citing among others Pandora, Amazon, Spotify and Deezer.
Having cancelled his tour of Southern Africa due to what he said was a busy schedule, Onesimus could not be drawn to say when he will perform in the country as well as launch the album.
“When I am ready and when my manager and PR arrange for Malawi I will come and perform,” he said.
The singer however, said he will tour with the album starting with Botswana.
Recently rapper Gwamba also announced that he has turned born again.
And Onesimus said Gwamba has always been part and parcel of the ministry.
“I can’t say much or comment on him but I am just happy that He has accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and saviour,” said the musician.
