Musician Onesimus enjoyed massive support during his Homecoming concert held at Lilongwe Golf Club on Sunday.
The youth thronged to the venue in large numbers as early as 11am, to the excitement of the artist, who described it as a tumultuous welcome.
“I owe my success in music to my fans and I would like to thank them for the unwavering support,” the Amaryllis Hotel brand ambassador said.
Onesimus returned home from South Africa this year and this was his first show to put up under the auspices of Entertainers Promotions led by Tonderai Banda.
Looking pumped up gymnastically, Onesimus delivered a powerful live act which excited the audience.
He utilised his energy to make movements on stage.
The artist performed both old and new songs including hits of the moment ‘Solomon’, ‘Mr Nobody’ and ‘Maria’.
There was an impressive line-up of supporting acts such as Gwamba, fondly known as Landlord, for his versatile vernacular rap.
Gwamba impressed the audience from the word go and carried a boxing belt on his shoulder to demonstrate his prowess as best rapper. Fans chanted ‘landlord’ when he made his way to the stage.
Banda, who is the musician’s manager, said Onesimus did not disappoint.
“I had confidence in him that he would deliver, hence striking a deal with him,” he said.
