South Africa-based musician Onesimus is back in the limelight with a new track titled ‘Foyu’ which he has featured Nigerian artist Tekno.

The artist, who in June this year spiced up the launch of Wendy Harawa’s Mundisunge Ndinu album, said he has so many projects he was working on and that the latest single was part of that.

Onesimus famed for other songs such as ‘Miracle Money’ and ‘Messenger’, said the single was all about uniting Africa.

“I have done this song to unite Africa. The beat itself is a mixture of different cultures, this single is a follow up to a song I recently did with Vusi Nova. In these songs, I am presenting to you a spirit of africanisation,” he said.

Onesimus, who used to do secular before going gospel, said Africa has the love of God.

“Therefore being a gospel artist, I am to use African platform to preach peace, unity, togetherness and oneness,” he said.

He added that ‘Foyu’ is a song that praises God in an African culture with lyrics talking about his personal life and experiences, where God has taken him from, nothing to something.

“I have featured an African artist Tekno from Nigeria who is also saying the same.

“This is more than a song, it is a project, I am a gospel artist who is preaching peace. Jesus Christ preached peace. African problems need African solutions,” he said.
