Soldier Lucius Banda will make an emotional return to Blantyre when he performs at Ozone Refreshment Centre Saturday.
This is the first time for Lucius to perform in Blantyre this year.
“I am looking forward to this show. It is good to reunite with my fans and I am sure I will not disappoint them. We are ready to dish out our best,” Lucius said.
Ozone Operations Director Lexa Mbewe said they were thrilled to welcome back Lucius, who enjoys good turn-up at the venue.
“He is performing Saturday from 5pm till dawn. It’s the first show after a long break. The first in Blantyre since he recovered. He is performing with Zembani, which has the likes of Sam Smak of ‘Kudikila’ single, Nepman, Don Tarz and his son Johnny, better known as Mr Zembani,” she said.
Mbewe said Ozone was prepared to host “this big man”.
“As you may be aware, Ozone is the biggest and most secure brick-fenced venue in Blantyre. So, vehicle-parking and security is guaranteed. We have the widest variety of refreshments at lowest prices ever.
“We also have cheaper rooms for those that would want to sleep over. This is why Soldier loves Ozone and we are proud to host him for the first time in a long time,” she said.
Lucius said he was excited to perform at Ozone after a long time.
“We have two shows this weekend and we are starting at Zitherepano in Mangochi on Friday (today) before going to Ozone on Saturday (tomorrow),” the ‘Down Babylon’ creator said
He said having not had performances last year due to illness, he has now fully recovered.
“Of course, we will not be having concerts every weekend but I have more energy and people should come in their large numbers and have fun,” Lucius said.
