Parliament has confirmed Dokani Ngwira as National Intelligence Services (NIS) Director General.
Parliament’s Public Appointments Committee Chairperson Joyce Chitsulo confirmed the development Wednesday.
“I can confirm that we approved Dokani Ngwira as director general of the National Intelligence Security during our meeting on Wednesday,” she said
Ngwira was appointed to the position in July last year and committee members invited him for interviews so that he could either be confirmed or rejected.
Ngwira is a holder of a Master of Arts in Ministry Management from Minnesota Graduate School of Theology, Masters in Business Administration from the Eastern and Southern African Institute of Management and Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Malawi.
