Pac is a bunch of confusionists— DPP minister
Minister of Civic Education and Culture, Grace Chiumia, on Saturday took a swipe at the quasi-religious group, Public Affairs Committee (Pac), for advancing the cause of the proposed electoral and Local Government reforms.
Chiumia took to the podium at Mpherembe in Mzimba where she called Pac officials “confusionists”.
She, together with Minister of Transport and Public works, Jappie Mhango, addressed a political rally.
“Do not buy into whatever you are hearing on the radio, especially on the 50 [percent] + electoral reforms agenda which Pac is advancing. Let me tell Pac [that it] is a group of confused religious leaders and they are going to town to confuse the nation on how elections are run in this country,” Chiumia told the gathering.
She also accused Pac of being impatient.
Pac is organising mass demonstrations slated for December 13 which have so far been endorsed by the Episcopal Conference of Malawi and the Anglican Diocese of Northern Malawi.
