Musician Patience Namadingo on Thursday joined FDH Financial Holdings Limited in breast cancer awareness campaign when he engaged oncologist Leo Masamba on Facebook Live.
Namadingo, who continues to trend with his projects aimed at helping the needy, said as a musician and also FDH brand Ambassador, he decided to play his role to reach to people so that they know more about breast cancer.
“This is why I engaged Dr Leo Masamba and the idea was to among others, get people to learn more about breast cancer,” he said.
Namadingo’s involvement in cancer campaign also comes barely a month after he fundraised for fellow musician William Kachigamba.
Kachigamba is currently in Zambia where he is receiving medical attention after he was diagnosed of cancer.
FDH Public Relations Officer Lorraine Chikhula, also hailed Namadingo for using his talent to play a role in bringing awareness to people about breast cancer.
She said this also followed FDH Financial Holdings Limited group employees led by their Chief Executive Officer William Mpinganjira on Wednesday wearing pink attire to lender their support towards breast cancer awareness campaign.
Pink ribbons are most commonly seen during National breast cancer awareness month.
Chikhula said FDH Holdings Limited has been involved in a number of projects in fighting cancer in the country.
“We support the Barbara Mpinganjira Cancer Unit at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in Blantyre and this year we procured new machines (oxygen ventilator and patient monitor),
