Musician Patience Namadingo last weekend performed at the Zamfest, where he shared the stage with acts from Zambia and other countries.
The three-day festival held at Nkwashi, brought non-stop entertainment.
This was not the first time for Patience to perform at the event.
The Zamfest started with a Fire Friday before the Storm Saturday and then Soul Sunday where Patience performed alongside acts such as Bongeziwe Mabandla, Abel Chungu and Mumbi Kasumba.
Media reports in Zambia indicates that Patience put up an awesome show on Sunday.
“Thank you Patience, you were awesome,” reads the statement from the organisers.
The ‘Msati Mseke’ creator was expected to return home Tuesday.
“It was exciting. I am still here but I am coming back tomorrow (Tuesday),” Patience, who is also set to perform in United Kingdom in July said.
Journalist Maxwell Ng’ambi said the event was well organised and patronised.
“It was full of fun, cutting through food, arts, music and entertainment. We had international acts such as DJ Maphorisa from South Africa, Msaki, Bongizwe, DJ Invizable, Patience (Malawi) and Tresor (DRC) kept us happy as we camped,” Ng’ambi said.
He also said some of the Malawians living in Zambia came to support and watch Patience.
“Patience was at his best and is quite known this side. People could sing along, which was positive,” Ng’ambi said.
According to Zamfest website, the event was first held in 2017 to great acclaim.
Zamfest says the event was the first food and music festival featuring local fresh produce, world-class pop-up restaurants and a diverse selection of African musicians.
The festival evolved to become a staple of the Zambian social calendar and a platform to showcase great musical, artistic talent, art installations and culinary master classes.
Patience’s performance last weekend took place the same time Menes la Plume and Kufewa Acrobatics were performing at MTN Bushire Festival in eSwatini.
