Patience Namadingo to hand over K15 million Saturday
Patience Namadingo will hand over K15 million to the Children’s Cancer Ward at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in Blantyre Saturday.
The singer and guitarist famed for the hit ‘Msati Mseke’ said on Thursday that, having postponed the event last Saturday, it was on Saturday.
“Yes we are set to donate the K15 million we have raised on Saturday and everything is in place,” he said.
Namadingo also revealed that initially he was supposed to donate K12 million which he raised but FDH Bank came yesterday and donated K3 million.
“I just want to say thank you to all those who came out with the donations to make this project a success and their donations will go a long way in helping the children’s cancer ward,” he said.
Namadingo said they will star t with a walk from Kamuzu Stadium in the morning before handing over the donation.
He also said that they will have a short performance during the donation.
Namadingo has been commended by many people for using his talent to generate funds for a cause.
The 40-day campaign to raise funds for the children’s cancer ward was extended after a lot of well wishers came out to support.
