Patience Namadingo leaves the country today for Zimbabwe where he is expected to perform at the Eatout Music Feast to be held at Hellenic Cultural Centre.
The musician who has just dropped a new single ‘Ng’wi Ng’wi’, from his upcoming album Ya Symon to be launched on November 30 2019, said he was looking forward to fly the country’s flag at the event.
“As artists, we need these platforms. We need to perform to different audiences but also at the same time, this is part of increasing the fan base,” Patience said.
The artist, who has of late expanded his base to add emceeing and comedy to his musical package, said he landed the deal after one of the Chief Executive Officer’s watched his performance in United Kingdom in July.
“I received communication from a CEO who is based in England, who was impressed with my performance and told me about this event in Zimbabwe. He later told his colleagues in Zimbabwe, who contacted me and then the deal was done. Copyright Society of Malawi had to also endorse,” the ‘Msati Mseke’ creator said.
Patience is set to share the stage with other acts such as Edith WeUtonga, Alexio Kawara, Masa Caroleen, Mangoma, Josh Meck, Zimbabwe College of Music Band and Blessing Chimanga and Dreams Band.
