Patient Namadingo to star at Zamfest again

Musician Patience Namadingo will perform at Zamfest in Lusaka, Zambia, again, having performed there last year.

Namadingo, who performed with Lawi last weekend in Mzuzu, Lilongwe and Blantyre, confirmed the development Tuesday.

“I will perform at Zamfest again. My band will leave on April 27 in the morning. On the same day in the evening, I am performing here but straight after the show, I will fly to Lusaka,” Namadingo said.

Zamfest will be held at Lusaka Showgrounds on April 28.

Zamfest is Zambia’s biggest food festival with the widest selection of local and international cuisine.

The festival combines great music, football, games and all round family entertainment.

The ‘Goliyati’ star, through his All New Namadingo, has rebranded and has entertained the masses with his music including holding own shows at venues such as Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe.

“I am happy to represent Malawi at this festival again. While Mafikizolo will be representing South Africa, the All New Namadingo will be representing Malawi,” he said.

Last year, Namadingo shared the stage with top artists such as Zimbabwe’s Oliver Mtukudzi, Zambia’s Pompi and South Africa’s Oskido.

Namadingo and Princess Chitsulo are also set to perform in Germany later this year during celebrations of Blantyre and Hannover partnership.

Some of the members of the organising team in Germany confirmed the development although they could not shed more light.
