Veteran musician Paul Banda is set to give people in Lilongwe an Easter treat as he performs at Rock City in a show dubbed A Night with the Legend.
The legendary musician, who is now being managed by reggae musician Limbani Banda— better known as Lambanie Dube— said Thursday he was ready for the outing which will give him a chance to interact with the audience.
“Easter is time to interact with fans. This is also the best time to launch our new outfit. You may recall that I came out to announce that I was working with The Sound Slaves Band and I am being managed by Lambanie Dube. I love the way the group is dedicated in training,” Paul said.
The ‘Malilime’ star said he was geared to offer more performances this time around.
“We will now be giving people different programmes for every show we stage. We will also be giving them new songs. I have been in Zomba all this while for rehearsals because we are serious,” he said.Advertisement
He hailed Lambanie Dube for the support.
“Lambanie Dube is highly misunderstood because he is straight forward, which is strange in our culture. He is a good person and always wants others to excel. I am happy to work with him,” the singer and guitarist said.
Dube of the ‘Chisoni Nkumatenda’ fame will also perform at the show.
“We have a lot of shows lined up for Paul Banda. People should brace for more shows. Paul deserves respect.
“The Night with a Legend will be a special night where people will appreciate music,” Dube said.
