Paul Chidale shines in HS Winehouse ballpool
Unstoppable Paul Chidale underlined his class when he dominated the HS Winehouse ballpool at Blantyre Sports Club on Wednesday.
Chidale posted 19 points and counted out a Mr. M.Y Patel to emerge victorious. The golfer also won two other awards in two different categories.
He won the nearest to the pin award on hole number one and pocketed another award in two-clubs event.
During the rare prize presentation, golfers shifted from Blantyre Sports Club to HS Winehouse in Namiwawa, Blantyre.
Chidale thanked the HS Winehouse for the supporting golf and wonderful prizes that included trophies and expensive wins.
“It wasn’t tough I knew I would win because I had one of the best practice session on Monday. I thank HS Winehouse for the wonderful prizes and my playing partners for giving me a good game,” he said.
Patel was counted out and finished as a runner-up while James Chimwaza was third with 18 points. They all received trophies and winer.
In individual category, former Blantyre Sports Club golf Hudson Kantwanje showcased great golf skills when he won the longest drive on hole number six.
It was one of the longest drives that earned him massive reviews from fellow golfers.
Blantyre Sports Club golf captain John Gift Mwakhwawa also thanked HS Winehouse for sponsoring the ballpool.
“The turn-up was quite impressive especially in men’s section. We encourage women to take part in these events,” he said.
HS Wineshouse directors Wilkins and Rachel Mijiga said they decided to support golf to reward some of their customers.
“Most of our customers come from the golf fraternity we therefore decided to give them back,” he said.
HS Winehouse is located on corner Sokota/Mombo Road in the leafy up market suburb of Namiwawa, just less than 2km from Blantyre CBD..
