IN CONTROL AT BULLETS—Pasuwa

Nyasa Big Bullets supporters will have to wait for at least two weeks to get a glimpse of former Griffin Young Stars rising star Peter Banda in action.

Banda joined Bullets before the start of the season but he is yet to make his debut, as he seeks to emulate exploits of his late father Chikondi who played for the giants after joining from Civil Sporting Club (then Civo Service United).

Bullets Coach, Kallisto Pasuwa, said they did not want to risk Banda by throwing him into action prematurely.

“He is making steady progress but it might take maybe two weeks for him to get into the team. We don’t need to rush but we need to prepare him thoroughly for the top league,” he said.

The People’s Team is also waiting for Precious Sambani to recover from injury and make his debut for Bullets, having joined from Namiwawa FC via Be Forward Wanderers.

“Precious is still on treatment and we also expect him back soon,” Pasuwa said.

Bullets have started the season with mixed fortunes, having defeated TN Stars 4-0 in their opening TNM Super League match before being held to a 1-1 draw by Mighty Tigers at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre on Sunday.
