Peter Mponda relentless

Premier Bet Wizards’ Technical Director, Peter Mponda, says his team will leave no stone unturned in its quest for maximum points in the TNM Super League.

Mponda, speaking in the aftermath of a 2-1 win over MTV Max Bullets on Sunday at Chiwembe Stadium in Blantyre, said, unlike in the first round, they do not have a specific target for the number of points.

“We will fight to the bone to collect as many points as possible so that we can avoid relegation,” Mponda said.

On the game against Max Bullets, Mponda said his charges were very tactical and disciplined.

“The fighting spirit from my players was exceptional and the players played with hunger and style to win. We got well-deserved three points,” he said.

Mponda added that he was still hunting for a coach to meet Caf B Licence requirements.

During the game, Bernard Chimaimba and Kondwani Majoni scored for Wizards while Sparrow Msowoya netted Max Bullets’ consolation. Wizards are on position 12 with 18 points from 18 games.
