Peter Mutharika returns from Unga

President Peter Mutharika is expected to arrive today from the United States (US), where he attended the 73rd United Nations General Assembly (Unga).

Chief Secretary to the Government, Lloyd Muhara, on Saturday said Mutharika was in South Africa, where he stopped over after Unga.

There were questions on the whereabouts of Mutharika as Unga wound up last week and government officials were reluctant to comment on the issue.

Mutharika, on his arrival at Kamuzu International Airport, is expected to give a brief overview of what transpired and gains made through Unga.

Mutharika left for the US on September 21 and Unga ended on September 30 2018.
