Seasoned midfielder, Peter Pindani, is on the verge of quitting Silver Strikers after penning the club that he wants out.

Pindani, who seems to have fallen out with the Young Chimodzi-led technical panel, has one-year remaining on his contract with Silver.

Sources at the club confirmed Wednesday that the former Nyasa Big Bullets midfielder is asking for a clearance from the team.

“Actually, he is not training with the team. He is not happy to play for Silver, but I don’t know what went wrong between him and the club,” said the source.

Silver general secretary, Chimwemwe Mkhwimba, insisted that Pindani was still in the club’s plan for next season.

“What I know is that Pindani is still a Silver player. I don’t know that he stopped training. Maybe, he was busy with work,” Mkhwimba said.

Pindani was not available for a comment yesterday.

As part of the rebuilding exercise, Silver briefly off-loaded 10 players, including Pindani, due to poor performance.

But the club reversed the decision after supporters protested.

Reports suggest that Pindani has agreed personal terms with Silver rivals, Civo United.

Pindani joined Silver from Bullets, and has been one of the key members for the club, winning two TNM Super League titles and the now defunct Standard Bank Cup.
