Blossoming Flames attacker Peter Banda has said he is hoping to break into Sheriff Tiraspol starting line up soon.

The youthful striker scored his second goal for Moldovan National Division defending champions in a 10- 0 demolition of Speranta Nisporeni on Friday.

Banda, who is on-loan from Nyasa Big Bullets, came off the bench to complete the rout in the 88th minute.

In an interview from Moldova yesterday, Banda was excited with his exploits.

“I am very happy but I want to be in the first eleven and I will keep pushing to be in the first starting line-up,” he said.

Following the win, Sheriff have opened a 11-point gap at the summit of the log table with 77 points from 28 matches.

Petrocub are second with 66 points from the same number of games.

Football consultant Kevin Moyo advised the youngster to remain focussed.

“It is good news for him and also for Malawi but he should be consistent,” he said.

Banda, who signed a three-year deal with Bullets in February last year, was voted as 2019 TNM Super League in his debut season.
