Forward Peter Wadabwa has returned to Be Forward Wanderers after parting ways with Mozambican side Desportivo de Maputo.

Wadabwa’s return has coincided with the departure of striker Babatunde Adepoju who has joined Silver Strikers at a K8 million transfer fee.

Wanderers General Secretary, Victor Maunde, said Wadabwa will undergo further assessment before finalising the deal.

“It is true that Wadabwa has joined us today [Monday]. As of now, I cannot comment further as he is yet to sign a contract. The coaching panel will guide us on whether to take him on board. There is need to assess him because he spent last season in Mozambique,” he said.

Wadabwa said reuniting with Wanderers was his ultimate desire.

Meanwhile, Wanderers Assistant Coach, Oscar Kaunda, said Wadabwa will be assessed during the forthcoming Ecobank Charity

“We are happy that we have Wadabwa in our camp. We will see how he will play this weekend but with his experience he can help us,” he said.

Wanderers are also assessing Masters Security attacker Juma Yatina and former Silver forward Mathews Sibale.
