Indebank took its Phwamwamwa promotion to Lilongwe through road shows where people had a chance of opening any one of 10 savings accounts of their choice.
The road shows were held in Lilongwe’s Chinsapo, City Centre, Area 23, Old Town, Area 25 and Kanengo where prospective customers were provided with civic education on the importance of savings.
In an interview during the show, Indebank marketing manager, Maxwell Ng’ambi, said the bank launched the promotion in April this year with an aim of rewarding existing and new customers who deposit a minimum of K20, 000.
“Making savings is a valuable habit to car r y us through turbulent times. Savings provide you with a fall back on when times get financially difficult,” said Ngambi.
Prizes in thi s ong oing campaign include K2 million as a grand prize, a maize mill to the runner up, three i-phone 6 — two of which have already been given out, 15 bicycles, of which10 have already been claimed by winners.
There are also consolation prizes in the form of branded golf shirts,T-shirts and caps that are being splashed out every fortnight.
