Phyzix is face of WWE snacks

After unveiling youthful artist Eli Njuchi as brand ambassador for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) snacks last month, local company Chilewe Brands has also announced that Phyzix is WWE snacks ambassador.
Chilewe Brands Global has a licence with WWE, which is an American integrated media and entertainment company that is primarily known for professional wrestling.
WWE has also branched out into other fields, including movies and football.
Chilewe Brands Global Chief Executive Officer Mike Chilewe Jr said Tuesday that they were excited to work with Phyzix, describing him as a perfect fit for promoting the snack.
“We are just utilising Malawi talent and adding more artists and creatives as part of uplifting them and also working together. Most of the brands in the country are not utilising talent. Phyzix is one of the hard working artists, hence getting him on board,” Chilewe said.
He said the agreement with Phyzix is for a year and that they will use him for promotion and marketing purposes and that they would support the artist in different channels to grow his career.
Chilewe said recently that the company has a licence from WWE Inc. to do snacks and beverages in Africa.
“We have launched now in Malawi. Chilewe Brands Global is based in South Africa but is now launching in Malawi,” he said.
He added that they would be setting up a factory in the next four months.
Phyzix said yesterday he was excited to be the first brand ambassador for WWE snacks in the country.
“This is a proud moment for me as an artist and as a person. It is a testimony to the success of Phyzix brand that we have managed to build over the years. The Phyzix brand stands for hard work, integrity, innovation, leadership, love humility and energy,” the award-winning rapper, said.
Phyzix went on to say that it was humbling to have a company believe in him.
“It is also a timely partnership as we are not doing live performances, which is a major income driver for artists; so, this is an alternative income stream. It is also good for the wider industry as this is building a culture of partnerships between businesses and the creative industry,” the Gamba Season star said.
