Piksy, Sangie bring Usauver episodes

Renowned musicians Piksy and Sangie have teamed up to give people a treat in Usauver episodes that have now reached season four.
The two musicians have been using their social media platforms to show their acting skills in the episodes and have since attracted a lot of attention.
Piksy of the ‘Unamata’ and ‘Chonchobe’ fame said yesterday the Usauver episodes were fixed and that people should brace for more stories from them.
“Normally we release every Friday and we finished season three and now we are about to start season four. The challenge we met was the rise in cases of Covid and that led us to put the shooting on hold,” he said.
He said the guy who shoots the episodes is based in Lilongwe.
“We are resuming the shoot this week and mid this month we should be releasing season four,” Piksy said.
He said they were happy with the support they have received so far.
“For those who would like to support this initiative, they are free to do so and for us we are just exploring our other talent apart from the musical talent, that people know us for,” Piksy said.
Sangie said Usauver is taken from the Chichewa word usova.
“This basically looks into stories that are happening in our marriages and relationships. We are looking at different issues, for example how you met, your way of communication and this influences the kind of relationship you have with your partner,” she said.
But how did they hatch this idea of Usauver?
“It is Piksy’s idea produced by me and we had to make it interesting, hence me participating,” she said.
She said this is a simple story where Piksy plays husband and she plays wife.
“There are also co-workers and we also have visitors and this runs according to the issue at that moment. We also have characters and some of them include Hyphen, Nepman, Mafumu Matiki and Chemandota,” Sangie, creator of ‘Ndangodzidzidwa’ said.
She also highlighted that, in season one and two, it was only Piksy playing and then she was brought into the limelight in season three.
