Police in Dedza have arrested two Malawians in connection with the murder of a 17-year old boy with albinism who they abducted on April 24 this year.
Dedza police deputy spokesperson Cassim Manda has confirmed of the development.
He identified the two as Vuto Biswirk, 26, of Chimoto Village in Traditional Authority Kaphuka and Emmanuel Robert, 20, of Kadambala Village in Traditional Authority Kachere in the district.
“We are also looking for their two Mozambican accomplices for abducting and later murdering Davis Fretcher Machinjiri, a standard 7 pupil,” Manda said in an interview.
He said the two Malawians took the victim to a witchdoctor, Tafatatha Chinyamula, 63 and Madalitso Tafatatha, 30, both of Undi Village in Traditional Authority Katondo in Mozambique’s Angonia district and murdered the boy there.
The two arrested Malawians led the police to Mozambique where the dead body was found with its bones removed.
Police are yet to frame charges for the two as investigations continue.
