Premier Bet Wizards Head Coach, Trevor Kajawa, has reiterated that his charges are fired up to compete for the TNM Super League title instead of fighting relegation.

Wizards beat Civil Sporting Club at Mulanje Park Stadium on Saturday to go third on the log table after tying on eight points with leaders Red Lions and second-placed Mzuni FC.

Former Mitra Icons striker, Misheck Botomani, who snubbed giants Nyasa Big Bullets for Wizards, scored in the 55th minute.

It was a second goal for the former Masters Security Premier Division leading scorer.

Kajawa said Wizards’ promising run this season was not a fluke.

“I said it before and I repeat—this season we are not here to participate and fight against relegation. We want to compete against the best. We want to be in the top-eight and compete for the title,” he said.

Kajawa also praised Bullets’ reject Jeresi Lufeyo, on-loan Ian Chinyama and Anzeru Joseph’s performance.

“We know how best to use them, no wonder they are performing. For instance, we did not involve Nikiza Aimable this week because we felt that he was exhausted,” he said.

Wizards defeated debutants Chitipa United 2-0 and held Silver Strikers to a goalless draw in Mulanje.

On the road, Wizards also drew 1-1 with Red Lions.
