Premier Bet Wizards’ Coach, Fundi Akidu, has said they won’t rest on their laurels and would use Sunday’s 2-1 win over Mzuni FC as a motivation to win more TNM Super League games.

“We won’t relent in our fight for points. We would like to build on from here and collect as many [points] as possible. This win against Mzuni will have a positive effect on the coming games,” Akidu said in a post-match interview at MDC Stadium in Chilomoni Township.

During the game, Wizards scored first through Kondwani Majoni in the 29th minute, but Mzuni’s Hudson Milanzi equalised in the second half.

The goal energised the students who dominated the second-half.

However, man of-the match, Patrick Phiri, restored Wizards’ lead after unleashing a shot from the 18-yard box.

The win took Wizards to 12th position with 25 points from 24 games while Mzuni are on position seven with 38 points from 26 games.
