Premier Bus Services on Friday cemented its relationship of working with the Miss Blantyre 2015 organisers when it finally gave first and second princesses free tickets to sample their buses.
The bus company promised to give free tickets to first princess Vanessa Chiutsi and second princess Tunosiwe Mwakalenga during the Miss Blantyre 2015 as prizes.
Chiutsi and Mwakalenga hailed Premier Bus Services for fulfilling their pledge of giving out free tickets to them.
“It’s a welcome development and we would like to thank Premier Bus Service for living up to their word.
“This the beginning of more things to come, we will help Premier Bus Service in marketing their services and in turn they will also help us in our charity activities,” said the two.
Chiutsi and Mwakalenga have signed contracts with the bus company.
Premier Bus Services Sales and Marketing Manager Maxwell Phangaphanga said as a company they thought it wise to utilise the talent of the Miss Blantyre 2015.
“Premier Bus Service is the mother of all bus companies and we thought we should be involved in working with the organisers of the Miss Blantyre 2015. We promised to give out free tickets and this is what we have done today,” said Phangaphanga.
He said they gave free tickets to the first and second princesses for them to experience the luxury of their buses and then thereafter help in marketing.
Miss Blantyre Operations Director Eric Nyekanyeka hailed Premier Bus for fulfilling their pledge.
“In most cases companies come up with pledges but do not fulfill them so we want to thank Premier for keeping their word. The first and second princess will help promote the Premier Bus Service brand,” said Nyekanyeka.
He said with the Miss Blantyre 2015 theme focusing on ‘going beyond beauty,’ he said the girls will be kept busy with different activities aimed at developing the commercial city.
“We are looking forward to more partnerships with different companies and organisations, we want the Miss Blantyre to do more through these girls, they should not be idle but rather be active,” he said.
The Miss Blantyre 2015 was held recently in Blantyre where University of Malawi – Polytechnic Bachelor of Accountancy student Chisomo Machelo triumphed.
Machelo among other prizes assume d two ambassadorial roles – one for the Keep Blantyre Clean and Green and Online Education courtesy of Yanga. Co from Lilongwe which handed her car keys on the day.
Blantyre City Council as partners of the Miss Blantyre 2015, they were not only looking for facial beauty in the ambassador for Keep Blantyre Clean but rather she should shoulder the challenge of driving this agenda of keeping Blantyre clean and green.
