News reaching the Siya crew is that a DStv Premiership coach is currently on thin ice, with his job on the line after just two matches into the season.
Royal AM have lost their first two matches of the season under head coach John Maduka after the club bought the topflight status of Bloemfontein Celtic before the start of the new campaign.
Preparations for the new season were not easy for the players, who had to leave Bloemfontein for Durban less than a week before their first game of the season.
While they put up a good fight in their opening match of the campaign against Swallows FC, Royal AM lost 1-0 to the Dube Birds, conceding in second half stoppage time.
They went on to lose their second match 2-1 at home to Cape Town City last week.
According to information received by the Siya crew Maduka has been given one more match to get victory for the club, or he may have to make way for someone else to step into his role as head coach at the club.
After the international break, Royal AM will host Gavin Hunt’s Chippa United side.
Chippa have started the season well and are yet to concede after two Premiership matches.
Maduka’s men will need to collect maximum points on home soil to give the coach a chance of keeping his job.—Soccerladuma
