Gospel musician Princess Chitsulo made sure she sealed 2022 on a high when on Friday she treated people to an All White Night Worship at Golden Peacock in Blantyre.
Having not held her own gospel concerts for some time, Chitsulo made sure she ended 2022 in grand style with the All White Night Worship, which saw people dressed in all-white as part of giving the concert a vibe.
Chitsulo took advantage of the concert to record live her album titled Nsembe.
“It has been sometime since I released an album and, so, I thought of recording a live album to give it a different feeling. At times, you need to give people something different and at the same time challenge yourself with new things,” she said.
The gospel musician, whose previous albums include Sindilora and Nyimbo Yanga said she enjoyed every moment of the concert, adding that it was set to thank God for the gift of life and blessings throughout the year 2022 as well as pray, through music, for the best in 2023.
The artist also used the platform to raise funds to reach out to 89 orphans in Ndirande, Blantyre.
People who patronised the event, hosted by Times Group presenter Yankho Seunda, contributed greatly to the cause, with Leader of Opposition in Parliament Kondwani Nankhumwa donating K500,000 through his personal assistant Rhodes Msonkho.
“I am so thankful for the support from people. This is the work I do; using my talent to reach out to people who are needy through my foundation. We all have a responsibility to reach out to those who are needy with the resources that God blessed us with,” she said.
Beautifully dressed in a dress with golden features, Chitsulo said she was grateful that God has been with her throughout 2022 and that she was looking forward to the best in 2023.
Joyful Souls, with their acappella, warmed up the stage for Chitsulo and once again they displayed the beauty of acappella by offering a number of songs.
Chitsulo, as the headliner, came for her first set, where she dished out a number of songs that makes her new album before going on a break and then came for her second set, offering some new songs and finished off with some of her old tracks.
