Veteran singer and guitarist Paul Banda will today come face to face with female singer Princess Chitsulo in a Christmas concert to be held Friday afternoon at Sunbird Nkopola Leisure Centre in Mangochi.
Princess famed for the hit ‘Sindilola,’ said they are ready for the concert which is aimed at celebrating Christmas.
“We are ready, we urge people to come in large numbers and celebrate Christmas with gospel vibes. There is a lot on the ground and they will not regret being there,” she said.
Paul also said he was ready for the concert and hinted that Christmas is here “to unite us with God and at the same time unite us with one another.”
“After sinning against God in Eden, Jesus comes back to reconcile us to the father. This is the time when all broken relationships must heal. Relatives must forgive one another and move forward.
Parents and children must forgive each other and start a new life. Couples must know Jesus is here to reconcile them. To me that is Christmas,” he said.
“If you let the season pass still maintaining your grudges you have missed a special window of grace, which may never come your way.”
Sunbird Tourism Public Relations Officer Akossa Mphepo said the concert will brighten up the festive season for those spending their holidays at Nkopola.
Apart from this concert, Sunbird Nkopola will also host Skeffa Chimoto and his Real Sounds at the same venue during a dinner and dance on December 31.
Skeffa will also perform at Sunbird Livingstonia in Salima on January 1.
Mphepo called on people to patronise their hotels during this festive season saying they have apart from performances, special breakfast, lunch and dinners.
“Sunbird is making the 2015 festive season an exciting and eventful period for both the young and old. We also have in each of our seven establishments special Christmas themed meals on offer within our restaurants,” she said.
