Promotion overwhelms TNM


As one way of ensuring excitement among football fans, Super League sponsor, Telekom Networks Malawi (TNM), will storm football grounds across the country with the Predict and Win Promotion.

TNM’s Senior Manager (Consumer Services), Madalitso Jonazi, said on Wednesday that the company was overwhelmed by the response from the fans in the promotion, hence the need to reward them with more prizes.

“Since the promotion started some three months ago, we have seen an increase in the number of entries, especially in September by 40 percent. The games selected for the month were Nyasa Big Bullets versus Kamuzu Barracks where we got eight correct entries, Mafco versus Be Forward Wanderers with 1071 entries, Mzuni versus Nyasa Bullets with 295 and Mzuni versus Blue Eagles with 171 entries,” Jonazi said.


The total text messages sent in August were 27, 454 while in September, 38,388 had 1544 correct entries.

During the September raffle draw conducted at TNM’s head office, Blanytre-based, Patrick Solomon, emerged as the winner and he pocketed K100, 000.

Solomon, a Bullets’ fan, predicted correctly the Mafco versus Wanderers game, which ended 2-1 in favour of the Salima-based soldiers.


Wednesday’s draw was the first in the league’s second round.

Lucky winner gets 50, 000 cash prizes weekly, while 10 people get 2, 000 worth of airtime weekly.
