Reggae dancehall musician Provoice under his record label Knock It Music Group has signed a contract with Mayamiko Seyani better known as Kamzati in the music arena.
As a manager, Kamzati will be promoting and marketing Provoice’s music.
Provoice real name Lameck Mwenebanda said his manager will also be responsible for organising shows both local and international.
The artist came into the limelight in 2011 after releasing the track ‘Pokopoko Muwaleti’ in which he featured Gwamba.
He said he met Seyani earlier this month before putting pen to paper on the contract.
Provoice has since announced that he will soon release new songs.
“This is the beginning of a new relationship which we hope will last for a long time,” the musician said.
Kamzati has signed a two-year contract with the artist.
Seyani, a journalist by profession, said Covid-19 pandemic has affected every business at the moment and that this was the best time for artists to have managers.
“We are going to put together strategies that will ensure that we still perform to our audience without putting their lives at risk also in accordance with the new laws. This means we may go live streaming. In music like any other business one needs to adapt to threats and changes that comes in the environment that we operate in,” he said.
Seyani is not new to the music industry as he has worked with producer AK and VJ Ice under the defunct label Hype Music Entertainment which signed, Episode, Angie, Taelo and Chance among others.
