Pull up socks, Silver Strikers told
Silver Strikers Team Manager, Francis Songo, has, following a 1-1 draw against Masters Security at Dedza Stadium on Sunday, urged his charges to pull up socks if they are to win the TNM Super League title.
“Last season, we dropped a lot of points because of draws and we need to avoid a repeat of the same. We were supposed to win against Masters but we lost concentration,” Songo said after the eighth draw left them three points behind leaders Be Forward Wanderers.
“Although we are still unbeaten, we need to pull up our socks so that we increase our chances of winning the title.”
Despite being the only undefeated side in the league, Silver are on second position with 38 points from 18 games.
